A cost-effective repair solution where other engine components can still be retained. Short blocks include the remanufactured core engine, including the crankcase, crankshaft, camshaft, pistons and connecting rods, together with the engine gasket set. Selected 2.2, 2.9 and 3.6 litre DEUTZ short blocks are now available from UK stock.

If the engine you need isn’t currently available from stock, the Xchange factory in Ulm can build a replacement engine to match the specification of your original engine.

Replacement solutions are available across engine generations spanning approximately 40 years, from established air-cooled DEUTZ engines through to later electronically controlled engines.

To identify the correct replacement we normally need:

  1. Your original engine serial number

and

  1. Confirmation that an exchange core is available and is free from major cracks or damage.
